Rove stuck to his story on Wed. claims he doesn't remember

From the bottom of the article...

Sometime in the first five months of 2004, Rove's attorney Robert Luskin was alerted to Rove's contact with Cooper during a discussion with another Time reporter, Viveca Novak. Luskin later found and turned over to prosecutors an e-mail written by Rove to National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley shortly after Rove's talk with Cooper. In it, Rove wrote that he tried to wave the Time reporter away from following the Wilson story.

(snip)

Rove testified Wednesday he still doesn't recall having spoken with Cooper, the people familiar said.

..end..
--------------------------------------------

After 5 sessions with the GJ Rove's story is the same one that earlier raised doubts. Apparently Rove has attempted to be convincing about this 5 times and failed at least 4 times. I give the GJ credit for having the patience to listen to the repetition. I'd have made my mind up and turned off way before now.

1. I think this is the first time this GJ has heard Rove.
If I'm not mistaken, his previous testimonies were before the GJ that was disbanded on Octobert 28, 2005.

2. Good point.
I am assuming they were presented with his previous testimony during their familiarization with testimony in the previous GJ.

Maybe to make a decision they needed to look into his face as he repeated it.

6. That is correct.
I believe that this grand jury, which is reviewing the possibility that Mr. Rove has lied to investigators and the previous grand jury, wanted the benefit of seeing Karl answer their questions in the flesh. The amount of time he was on the hot seat indicates that he failed to convince them that he was being honest.

5. The claims he doesn't remember defense is a GOP Standard

cop out, started by Reagan. If Bush Bombs Iran with nukes he probably won't remember either.

Edit...Try it yourself sometime...for example, at tax time..." 27. Total Adjusted Gross Income" I don't remember!
