"We The People ..." Those opening three words of the constitution are nothing but a laugh line in the White House and the halls of the Republican congress. "We The People" are here for one purpose. To toil for those who own this country, give them almost everything we have, and scrape past as best we can on the leftover crumbs.

Government is a wholly owned subsidiary of big business. They can raise gas prices as high as they want and we can't do a damn thing about it. They can invade any country they want to and it's none of our business. They can let an entire city drown and ignore it. They can watch our infrastructure crumble and snicker when we bitch about it. They can loot our treasury and they don't even need a mask and a gun. They can get young people killed in war and tell those who were merely maimed to screw off when they come home.

The Republican Party never liked the idea of a middle class and in six years, they've all but finished the demolition job started by Saint Ronnie. If we can ever rip power back from their bloody claws, it will take decades to repair the damage.

So if they decide to give us all a $100 tax rebate, enjoy the two or three tanks of gas it will buy you. There may even be enough left over to buy a hamburger.

4. I wonder how long it will take before McCain is as popular as a
turd in a punch bowl. Many of us already recognize his gross hypocrisy. I just hope everyone else catches on before he can do any more damage.

3. You have hit on a dirty little secret
That we the people do not control government, but instead it is controlled by a relative few very rich people that pull the strings
We have a Oligarchy not a democracy or republic like we think

6. Corporate Government Store
A government of corporations, by corporations, and for corporations. The Government Corporate merger was started a few decades ago, and is now complete.

Your Corporate Government Store operates much like the Company Store once did, but is spread out across the whole nation and everyone must open an account to survive. Nobody escapes it and must accept their terms. They have slowly re-written the 'New Deal' over the years to use against the working class to benefit Corporate America and the Wealthy Elite.

That is the price that is paid, when the Party that once represented the working class, cozies up to Corporate America.
