The fates are in charge with an I-Ching reading. I got no control. The Ching is powerful stuff.

However, from the reading, I get the impression that the "authority" is Fitzgerald. Karl has to comply. The "friend" is obviously Dubya. My feeling is that Dubya will let Karl twist in the wind. Fitzgerald will use Karl as a means to an end. Now, whether Karl spills the beans or not...that's not yet known.

be a lesser punishment because Fitz is going after even bigger fish?

11. The cool thing about the Ching

...is that it tells you WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW. It doesn't judge. It doesn't do drama. It shows you that you have choices.

one suggestion--there was quite a bit of p-popping in the audio. You can avoid that by using a foam shield on the microphone, or just be aware of it when you read, andbe sure to flatten out your ps and bs so they don't pop into the mic so much.

Curious--what method of interpretation or translation are you using? That was fascinating about the various parts. It really seems to expand the interpretation into a more personal sphere. I use the Wilhem/Jung book, and there seem to be some differences in your approach.

the hexagrams were very apt, as usual. Did you ever read PK Dick's "The Man in the High Castle?" It revolves around the I Ching, but posits an alternative universe where the Germans and Japan won WWII.
I loved it, it really made me respect the Tao--and fear it.

I was too close to the mic. However, I am gonna make a homemade sleeve for the mic.

As for the source, I refer to the translation by Sam Reiller...and my own vast experience of human nature. I was a waitress for 14 years, a hairdresser for 7 and I spent all my life in the Theatre.

I've not read Mr. Dick's story. :)
