Gallup Poll: Repukes Could be Headed for Disaster
Edited on Fri Apr-28-06 05:29 PM by louis c
<snip>

---The basic structure of the American public's mind is as negative as it has been in more than a decade. Congressional job approval hasn't been this low since 1994. President George W. Bush's job approval rating is at a low point of his administration and his rating is also lower than any president's since 1993. Fewer Americans now identify with the Republican Party. There is a strong tilt toward the Democratic party when voters are asked for whom they will vote in the November elections. Democrats are decidedly more enthusiastic about voting this year than Republicans.

Bush and the Republicans are being hit by a perfect storm of sorts: perceived failure on foreign policy/international front and "in your face" economic woes exemplified by $3-per-gallon gas.

<snip>

louis c--Gallup and Rasmussen have always tilted toward the Red States and President Knucklehead. This is the most negative piece on the Repukes that I've ever read from Gallup. As for Rasmussen, he has posted the second straight day of a disapproval number of 61% for Bush (38%-61%). When these two pollsters report numbers like this and Fox has Bush at 33%, the bottom has fallen out for this Administration. Next, you will see all the rats abandoning ship.

2. Don't forget the 70% to 100% increase in electric rates
that CBS was talking about. I'm surprised people haven't assembled outside the White House to demand Bush's ousting.

15. Welcome to DU Navydavy
That thought has crossed my mind as well, but I believe this to be genuine, we'll find out in November, if we make it there.

5. Repukes Are The Disaster...
But we really need to make sure we take advantage of this situation and bring our message to the people, so that we can regain control and sanity of government come november.

7. People are unhappy and disenfranchised and dissatisfied.
The Repukes run all 3 branches of government and I say it's fair that they take a huge hit in November.

The bluer that map is after the midterms, the better.

8. Two events that could drop him into the 20's:
A Rove indictment, and the lid blowing off the top of Duke Cunningham's sex suites at Watergate and the Westin paid for defense contractors. Up to 6 other Congressman may be implicated and my bet's they're all Repubs.

12. They "create" their own reality, remember?
I guess we're the ones that have
to live with the "perception".
