1. So VERY sad.
I lost my mother unexpectedly in Febb 2004 and lost my MIL 2 years to the day of my mother's Memorial this year, March 5th 2006, she too died of cancer, Renal Cell Carcinoma. It's such a lonely feeling when your mom is gone and I feel so sorry for her daughters.

5. I'm so sorry to hear that
It's the one thing that I fear the most (losing my mother). I can't wrap my brain around that devastation. I'm sorry for your loss.

6. It gets a little less difficult but I will never stop missing her.
I a m the only surviving daughter and my husband and I aven't had any children yet due to some health problems on my part. I will forever wonder what it would have been like to have her and my MIL here as the two grandmothers. I wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy.

9. My sympathies as well...
My mother passed away 18 years ago next month and now I know she lives on forever through my love for her...and through the stories I tell my 8 yr. old daughter. I hope you will be able to have the same experience.

I found these words to be so true...

“The death of a mother is the first sorrow wept without her”

“A mother's children are portraits of herself.”

“A Mother holds her children's hands for a while...their hearts forever”

10. that is very sad
i don't have any kids yet, but i think there is some comfort in knowing your mother is still there when or if you do decide to have children. and to not have that does seem to add some empty or lonely feeling.

i'm sorry for your losses.

17. Yes, I know she is. I know that we go on...
I had 3 NDEs and I don't care what skeptics say, I know there is sometihng beyond this world and life. I just wish she was here with me.
