FLASHBACK 2002- Can't get fooled again

President George W Bush has swung American popular opinion firmly behind him by linking the threat from Iraq to September 11.

In a speech in Cincinnati on Monday night, Mr Bush said Saddam Hussein was linked with Osama bin Laden. "We know that Iraq and the al-Qa'eda terrorist network share a common enemy: the United States of America," he said.

"We know that Iraq and al-Qa'eda have had high-level contacts that go back a decade. Some al-Qa'eda leaders who fled Afghanistan went to Iraq. These include one very senior al-Qa'eda leader who received medical treatment in Baghdad this year and who has been associated with planning for chemical and biological attacks.

"We have learned that Iraq has trained al-Qa'eda members in bomb making and poisons and deadly gases. And we know that after September 11, Saddam Hussein's regime gleefully celebrated the terrorist attacks on America."

This speech was before the war, it makes me sick the lies and deceit......

Wake up and smell the coffee

2. Yes indeed this is old news!
but IMHO shouldn't be forgotten. I keep hearing republican talking heads speaking on the Tee wee that this is old news and we don't need to revisit this, but i say BS. We need to keep revisiting this ever chance we get, and don't let the RNC bunch try and say forget about the past.

Due to these flat out lies, the country has been lead into to a war of choice. And we need to keep reminding the american voters how we were lied into this war of choice.

Just my 2 cents! But i for one want forget, and ask others to never forget.

3. His has used,
with guidance no doubt, the logic that crows are black, my pen is black and so my pen must be a crow. I'm confident that the same logic will be used against him in the future.

4. we tend to have a short memory--but with so much going on
and going down with these criminals i believe the public is absorbing it and it is becoming something of common knowledge--

the issue is not if any of it is true or false anymore because the public knows it all to be true--the issue is how much more crap can the public stand to swallow!

and my guess is: not much more.
