1. P-R-I-S-O-N!
In a tier with pissed off inmates with long sentences, (as in 4 EVER). I'd pay good money to see that.

3. Jail
It wasn't just that he went "Doctor Shopping" it was that he purchased and conspired to purchase drugs on the black market...That should have triggered minimum sentencing.

5. He should be in jail
Under the drug laws currently on the books, Rush Limbaugh should be in jail. Period.

8. Rehab
Prison helps no one overcome a drug addiction. While he doctor shopped and that is illegal the reason he did this was because of his addiction - which is an illness. We need to decriminalize addiction - weather the person is a complete jack ass as in this case or not.

9. But he will get to do rehab while continuing to run his little propaganda
machine while others caught with lesser drugs will do time.
It is about fair justice. Not being able to buy your way out of the consequences of your actions.

13. I did not say Rush should go to rehab and everyone else to jail.
The very first line of what I said was "prison will help no one". I was not apply a standard to Rush only - hence the statement NO ONE. I do not believe in the current drug laws - and that applies to everyone, rich and poor.

10. Sorry to disagree. Rush has vilified drug users and addicts,
helping the Repugs hammer the nail in the coffin of adequate mental health and drug rehab facilities in the U.S. He can go to jail, and save a precious spot in a drug program for someone who is not rich, nor Republican, who actually might be able to make a better life after getting off drugs.

16. I've been wondering about rehab...
He went to rehab last time, didn't he? Some swanky, high priced place in Arizona? Now three years later he's back at his old tricks. What's the deal with that? Does anyone know what the success rate for these types of programs is?

I can't help but think that if the best rehab money can buy isn't terribly effective, something is really wrong.

17. Forget about how disgusting he
is! The guy needs to have structured rehabilitation services, just like other people with chemical dependencies. Many of us have worked long and hard to get rehab. alternatives such as drug courts so we do not waste the lives of people who get hooked on drugs. I can't stand Rush or anything about conservative talk radio, but I do want to see him in rehab--and if he screws up, he should get the same sanctions as anyone else.

Preferably wearing a straight jacket and locked behind padded walls.

24. Every Day For The Next 18 Month...New Name...Rush FELON
This plea bargain isn't an admission of innocence, the Oxybrain has plead GUILTY to using drugs and purchasing them illegally. His agreement is similar to a first time offender (even though most first timers is for more "recreational" drugs like pot...not a hard core drug like Oxy) but he's still admitted his guilt and he's now on probation. He won't be able to vote this fall (awwww), will have his travel severely restricted and, hopefully, will have to submit to random piss tests. Let's see how clean Rushbo stays over the next 18 months.

In the meantime, I would suggest every talk show host and blogger never fail to remind its listeners or readers about Rush's legal status...just like he never lets go when it's a Democrat. His name is no longer Rush...it's whatever his Palm County felon number is...he's no longer a citizen, he's a convict. Let's put him in the cage he properly belongs.

Even some dittoheads I know aren't buying this "agreement"...they know Rushbo bought his way out of this mess and this is admitting that he's a drug abuser...no different than those he says should be thrown in jail and locked away. Unlike popping off about a black quarterback (which most of his racist listeners probably got a rise out of), being a drug abuser doesn't sit very well in dittoland...especially now that Rushbo's admitted it...and that he can never wipe off his record. We have the mug shot to prove it

:bounce:
