Stop Being Afraid! (Colbert)
Sadly, there are some here who are still so afraid of the formally formidable repukes that even Colbert's routine has them wringing their hands in fear of some imagined blow-back or price to pay.

People, they are on their knees and the only way they are standing up again is if we take our foot off their necks.

It's called going in for the kill, I know some don't like the metaphor, but it works in sports as well. We have them on the run. We have them were we want them, and humor is one of the ways to finish them off...

Stop being afraid to win.

Or LAUGH!!

1. I've never been afraid. I am now living vicariously through
Colbert.

What he did was moral and correct and very brave, and long overdue.

What is there to fear, after all? Aren't things beyond horrible already?

4. Hell, if they are going to send us to Gitmo...
What better company than Colbert, Steward, Olberman, and maybe a little Fitz thrown in. Whoah, be still my heart! Hope they'll have coed cellblocks!

Ignore the man behind the curtain...

Colbert's hugest challenge was not Thomas, although that was brilliant.

It was "GANNON" printed on the special podium. I think * caught that one:

Oops, the supreme maximum leader in his own mind must have thought, "They're not afraid anymore.
What will I do?"

Proud to be rec. #5.

8. K&R. I'd just add another F-word to the OP...
"FORMERLY", as in "Formerly formally formidable repukes." :-)

9. Comedian Stephen Colbert --- American Hero!
Just watched a part of it off Can-o-fun. Can't wait to see the whole thing in nice resolution off C-Span. This is an all time keeper. Talking truth to power and rubbing it right in their face sorry ass faces. Brilliant Colbert. Simply brilliant.

20. Even Scalia was laughing his head off!
I don't know why folks are wringing their hands.. Colbert was hilarious. Bush gave him an affectionate pat/squeeze on the arm as Bush left the room... Yes.. from what I could see Laura looked pretty unemotional about it all, but she always looks like the victim of a botox accident.. perpetually glazed look on her face, so it's hard to tell what's in her mind. The Generals he was addressing were laughing.

I think Democrats worry too damn much. As IF republicans wring their hands over the hateful shit that is spewed over the airwaves 24/7 against Dems.. hell no! Those hatemongers get invited to special events at the WHite House.

Colbert was funny, and biting.
