I am digging the net for coverage on Colbert, and I'm coming up pretty empty handed.

I expect nothing from the TV MSM, but usually there are editorials from NYT, WaPo, Seattle - something! But I can't find anything. :(

1. Here's the first item I found...
The NYT carried the Reuters story. Here are the closing paragraphs:

Stephen Colbert, of Comedy Central's ``The Colbert Report,'' wrapped up the evening delivering a routine as the bombastic pundit character of his satiric talk show.

No one was safe from his sarcastic barbs.

``Fox News gives you both sides of the story -- the president's side and the vice president's side,'' he said to muted laughs.

2. And the second...also from the NYT
The featured entertainer was Stephen Colbert, whose Comedy Central show ''The Colbert Report'' often lampoons the Washington establishment.

''I believe that the government that governs best is a government that governs least, and by these standards we have set up a fabulous government in Iraq,'' Colbert said in a typical zinger.

He also paid mock tribute to Bush as a man who ''believes Wednesday what he believed Monday, despite what happened Tuesday.''

5. I just see the AP story which mentions Colbert in passing.
BUT the pic that accompanies it is of Herr Goofus doing one of his Mussolini faces. :D

6. On C-Span This AM... Byron York Commented That The Idiot
was funnier than Colbert! I didn't see any clips and I'm not sure Byron York is unbiased. Seems he supports The Idiot more than not. Reliable Sources has yet to make any comments either.

I doubt that Howard Kurtz is going to do any POSITIVE coverage on Colbert either, since he attacked him about a month ago. Apparently Kurtz isn't a big "fanny" of Colbert's!

I also haven't heard ANYTHING on yesterday's New York Anti-War March from C-Span OR CNN!

Total Shut-Out! Reliable Sources.... NOT!

7. they're america's enemy, and they're proving it!
don't worry, the people 'who matter' know about Colbert, and it's not 'cool' anymore to pretend this bush sheet is about terrorism and protecting the homoland (which is how fundies are now starting to refer to what was a selfserving rightwing scam to begin with!) and all that cnnfox news crap- there's almost a 'diary of anne frank' quality to those opposing bush...the pigmedia's bushlove plays neatly into the rightwing dilemma...it's like they're protecting a house of cards during a fatso repuke square dance! The men who run the media need to be punished, and they're continuing duplicity makes it easier to convict them

10. I know the NY Post is a right wing Murdoch production, but . . .
you'd think they'd at least mention a 300,000 person march in their own city . . . not a word . . .
