Is this the new Republican talking point?
I've heard it before, but never from someone that I considered reasonably sane. Until this morning, when a friend called me from Miss.

"If the Democrats take over, things will be even more screwed up than they are now". :wtf:

I was running late for a press conference, and didn't have the time to bite his head off, but I will later.

excuse me while I fall down laughing
Daffy Duck would be an improvement and this person needs to be kept away from the polling booth. Sorry, but since this isn't a democracy anymore, I'm declaring that assholes can't vote anymore.

1. I've not heard that yet but I wouldn't put it past them to say that.
How's your campaign going?

6. My campaign is dead as a door nail.
It never really got off the ground. I spoke with 2 top notch consultants, and we came to the conclusion that I was the only person in Florida who could lose a state-wide race to Katherine Harris.

And couldn't honestly accept contributions for a race I had no chance of winning.

So, now I'm co-managing my friend John Russell's congressional campaign in Florida's 5th, against Ginny Brown - Waite. He has a good shot at winning.

We held a press conference in front of her office this morning.

Good luck.

P.S. I'm so sorry to hear you were the only person in Florida who could lose a state-wide race to Katherine Harris. :( Losing to Spunk and Moxie would have been no fun. :(

2. Well compare 8 years of Clinton to 6 years of Shrub. Where's the proof
that it will, or was, worse under Dems? If anything, the opposite appears to be true.

3. That's simply empty blather...it's the "Out Of Ammo" argument
Whenever either Clinton is mentioned or this comment is spewed out of the piehole of a Repug Chimpy apologist, I just make a "buzzer" noise and tell them they are out of ammo. Period.

7. The reason the Democrats exist is to straighten out Republican messes
Let's face it, if the Democrats were truly kept out of power the country would turn into a de facto dictatorship. The Republicans need them to get into power, straighten everything out and set the government on a true and steady course.

Unfortunately the public grows used to good times and then seek excitement. The Republicans run good campaigns with creative soundbites, get back into office and start mucking with things that work perfectly well. Exciting times ensue (mainly for the disadvantaged and poor).

Rinse and repeat.

13. I heard the one yesterday about if Dems take over, the government is going
to be clogged with investigations and impeachment that they won't get anything done. This was from Bayh Buchanan.

I hear it on DU every day. Not surprised the right wingers would pick up on it.

Sorry about your campaign, but you know you did everything you could to stop these crooks, and that has to feel really good.
