Maybe this sheriff is not the most educated guy on the planet, but he's doing a nasty job in difficult circumstances.

If everything is out of control at the border, I submit that this President has been asleep at the switch for five years to let it get to this point. All of a sudden we are 6 months out of an election and it's a catastrophe. Nothing turns this party in power on like villifying a group of people to rally their base.

FWIW, I largely agree with you. Bush has been asleep for 5 years. But the situation on the border is out of control.

And even in places removed from the border, the impact is disastrous. In Ft. Worth, Texas the average household income has declined 10 percent -yeah, that's right 10%- in 5 years. Ft. Worth is no tech bubble casualty. It is a working class town. As illegals flood the workplace, wages are plummeting.

Oh, and 3/4 of all births at the county hospital are now to parents who are not US citizens.
