You must file a claim for Worker's Compensation. If you don't you are a fool. You are entitled to medical care if you were injured on the job. Don't let them tell you otherwise.
If I was you, I go to the ER and get the foot x-rayed if you think it might have a broken bone in it or something.
I'm not a doctor and I cannot advise you whether to use a walker or the crutches. I find using a walker is a lot easier and safer personally (if possible to use one being you need to use the foot to use the walker).
You should be off work until this problem is resolved. What did the doctor say other than to take Vicodin?
The first thing you should have done was file the Worker's Compensation claim. If they don't like it, tough sh*t.
