That means one giggle, one smirk, any reaction of any kind not chaperoned by a sincerely stern frown, it means Colbert was funny, despite what the skeptics say. If he chuckles, grins or smiles just once, it will be enough to prove that Colbert did his job that night. Mission Accomplished. No ifs, ands or buts. Colbert = Funny
Don't take my word for it. Check out minutes 0:50, 1:35, 1:59, 2:10 through 2:20, 3:48, 4:00, 5:03, 6:13 and 6:44, here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-oMlBSiX3gThat's eighteen seconds worth of laughter. Sure, you may say that is eighteen seconds out of a 434 second video. That is only 4.14% of the video. But look more broadly, look at the edges of Bush's mouth and cheeks throughout the entire video. He is barely able to contain himself at least half of the time. I'll admit, that is an estimate. I didn't stand there with a stopwatch to count how many seconds he was containing himself. Even if it was only a third of the time, he's giving more appreciation to Colbert than he himself gets from the polls.
This is dear leader I'm talking about. The only one whose opinion matters. Those on the right can't prove this laughter doesn't exist. flinkpoyd311 has proven that it does. It's on video. Forever on YouTube. At least until wiretapped ABC News invokes their copyright on the footage.
Funny is indeed in the Eye of the Beholder; and Bush is not only the Decider, he's the Beholder. And he hath Beholden some funny shit.
