Armando Spataro said yesterday he would ask Justice Minister Clemente Mastella to forward the extradition requests previously rejected by his predecessor, Roberto Castelli.
Spataro is seeking the arrest of the suspects accused of kidnapping, conspiracy and violating Italy’s national sovereignty in abducting the Egyptian Muslim preacher from a Milan street.
The suspects who allegedly kidnapped Egyptian citizen Nas Osama Moustafa Hassan, also known as Omar, are all CIA agents, according to Italian court documents.
