So it's 'treasonous' for the NYT to report on financial terrorist tracking

because it lets the terrorists know how we're following them, even though the administration has been touting their use of that financial tactic for years.

Now they come out bragging that they caught potential NYC tunnel bombers by tracking their conversations in an internet chat room. What's that if not the exact same thing in a different context? It's apparently more about what information benefits the Bush administration and not national security.

I'm guessing that if the NYT now runs a story about following terrorist plots via the internet they'll be committing 'treason' again.

The Wall Street Journal as well. Besides the administration themselves. The NYT gets targetted because they're supposedly the 'liberal' paper.

But the hypocrisy of this tunnel-plot bragging, coming just a week after they attacked the NYT over a nearly identical non-exposure, is really too much. Haven't heard anyone in the media mention the similarity yet.
