Anyone get burnt out?
I was going to do a poll decided not to .

I was curious for one thing what the age group was on this forum and also based on this and your position in live in general do you find after reading blogs and listening to the shows on AAR that you find a point where you are burnt out ?

Don't get me wrong I love AAR , its the issues and there daily onslaught done by bush and all the politicians , the condition in Iraq , and the feeling that we are close to a police state that really get to me . At my age you begin to wonder what is left to find peace in or hope with . Simple things just don't seem to cut it and going to work is just a way to keep going , other than that work is pointless and routine at best .

Many people seem to continue with some form of distraction , i know I had distraction until 5 months ago . Perhaps it's just my frame of mind and moving somewhere else may spark a new interest if i could figure out where that would be .

3. Definitely burnt out most days...
I'm 27, I have a science degree (love how Bush keeps calling for scientist and find it interesting how many of us don't have science careers).. anyway, I work 56hrs a week for chump change to pay it all back to bills. I happen to live in Flori-duh.. where the wage has no comparison to the housing market, gas price increase, property tax etc. I am still making the same amount of money I was 4 yrs ago. I know that there are bigger and better, but I can only hope for a better future. I can only hope for a presidential candidate that runs on a platform of reform and not fear.

Fortunately, I believe in God. And I truly believe that right now in my toils and personal struggles and strifes, that I am creating the largest mansion ever seen... I always tell my mother-in-law when my personal world is collapsing that "I just added another wing to my mansion". I'm afraid that without it, I would not find much point in living this life because its really not that free and great. The United States is not ingenious... There is no room to imagine, grow, think... its rat raced and timed to the tee. Good luck everyone else.

4. I've been burned out for quite a while
Between working 2 full-time jobs 7 days a week and dealing with all of the crap this effed up administration and the fundies have dealt us I'm spent. However I know I can't give up or it will only get worse. (Of course it may very well get worse even if I don't give up :-()

with between burnout snacks of doldrum soup. but i get up again!
seems futile sometimes.

i never get tired of Air America Radio though...

Whatever gives you a break OP may rejuvenate you. I know the Kenny Boy crap has me wondering if there is a twisted God up there. And the DINO's weaseling on the Supreme Court nominees had me furious and disgusted with the former Democratic party. Still, we have to keep on going.

6. Not so much "burned out" , as just "worn out."

Some of us have been waging these battles for a long, long time. It's heartening to see your generation coming along and picking up the battle flags. "They" want to keep you suppressed (long hours, low pay, propaganda, etc.) so you can't fight them. Just keep yourself informed, act when you can, and if it gets to be too much sometimes, take a break.

It does get discouraging sometimes, especially after the past two elections.... and you get tired of losing, believe me. But.... it would be un-American to just let them roll all over us. We have to keep up the fight for future generations.
