Thank You Senator Lieberman for Protecting our Free Speech Rights
Edited on Wed Jul-12-06 02:40 AM by Clarkie1
Thank you for voting NO on the proposal to desecrate our first amendment rights and our national treasure, the Constitution. You are a patriot, and you understand the true meaning of free speech. I was disheartened that one of my "Democratic" senators voted Yes on this ammendment. Thank you for standing tall on this issue.

:patriot:

14 "DEMOCRATIC" SENATORS, INCLUDING MINORITY LEADER HARRY REID VOTED YES ON THIS AMMENDMENT. IT FAILED BY ONE VOTE.

Hey, I'm not in Connecticut, and I'm not Lieberman's greatest fan or anything, but SOMEBODY has to provide some facts and balance on this board.

"It is time for Democrats who distrust President Bush to acknowledge that he will be Commander in Chief for three more critical years, and that in matters of war we undermine Presidential credibility at our nation's peril."

So, where he touts free speech, he seems disgusted by Democrats who distrust Bush. He's a puzzle, that guy.

15. Can people be gay-partisan as well as bi-partisan.
Just curious! (I jest). But isn't this like the thousand monkeys typing for a million years until they finally at random type the Works of Shakespeare??

13. Well I'm not worried about Boxer. Feinstein is also my senator and I'm not
overly thrilled with her these days.

Maybe you can start feeding me some links about her as well? :)

No use for her.

17. Yes, I know....I remember. It still irritates me. - For those who don't...
Part her response as to whether the gay marriage issue helped to re-elect Bush.

"I believe it did energize a very conservative vote," Feinstein said. "It gave them a position to rally around. The whole issue has been too much, too fast, too soon.''

sounds like something a Southern opponent of school integration and the Civil Rights Act would've said back in the 1960's. What decade is this, again?

20. Heh. "True meaning of free speech"
Really, now. He doesn't think amending the Constitution is wise, which is certainly commendable, but he's okay with federal laws that criminalize flag "desecration." He's co-sponsored such legislation in the past. When it comes to the flag, he's no Free Speech titan.
