Bush May Cut Short Vacation
The White House is concerned enough about President Bush's job rating and its possible effect on Republican chances in the November elections that word of reduction in vacation time at Crawford next month is being put about.

Bush may be so desperate to look engaged that, even if he's not in Washington, aides say he will spend more August nights on the road away from his Prairie Chapel Ranch.

2. Damn
He didn't cut it short when he got that memo titled, "AQ determined to strike..."

He didn't cut it short when Katrina blew New Orleans away..

There isn't a limit to the irony.

11. True enough.
But NOW there's an election to think about. And it's coming up sooner than they think...

THAT'S what really matters.

4. too much is at stake this year for Bush to spend so much time on vacation,
White House officials told the Associated Press. Apparently there wasn't much at stake in the past five years. Oy!

8. uncle karl wants bush ass to be out there
I wonder if bush will throw a temper tantrum.

remember when bush said, "I have a life too" or something like that.

Uncle Karl wants bushie to get on the campaign trail, interesting since so many repubs do not want bush doing any campaigning for them.

9. The more he's out there, the more he screws up. It's good for democrats.
If we are talking elections. If we are talking about policy or anything else he can get his hands on, the country is better off that he stays on vacation.

18. Let me see if I understand:
Bush's approval ratings are in the crapper so the best thing for him to do is go out and stump for GOP candidates running in Nov? Hey, I am all for it! :bounce:
