Was this too rough of a response by me? |
|
I emailed a writer for the News & Observer who wrote an editorial blaming American students and their parents for being trapped days in Lebanon while the Israelis lay siege. He suggested the parents provided no boundaries on where their kids study, especially in a country that blamed Bush in part for their plight. I emailed him since I just got something published there and have to wait 30 days before I can do that again. Here follows my response:
Maybe you should suggest they go to Israel where the Bush administration isn't blamed for anything they do. I'm sure it's safe there. They might even learn how to drive a bulldozer or sign their names on artillery shells. Continue to make sure there are no "boundaries" on your lack of humanity or your cognitive dissonance while blindly following the most dishonest administration in American history and the greatest threat to our Constitution since the Civil War.

3. Unlike here where I feel more comfortable, |
|
when I write things to the paper with an emotional response to something, I feel a little queezy. I like to get published sometimes and pride myself on keeping my head. Anyway, thank you for your response.

The whole part was blaming the students and the no boundaries idea. I consider Israel currently a war zone but I know the writer wouldn't blame students and their parents for being there. And the protection of our citizens in an expeditionary manner is a responsibility our government is supposedly to adhere too.

8. A lot of the people there weren't tourists, they were there on business. |
|
Some brought their families with them due to the length of their stay.
Limbaugh villified them all for making Boosh look bad and for expecting their government do something to help them. I hope a lot of them were Dittoheads (and are now former Dittoheads).
