2. I SURVIVED IT TOO... back in 1954 when they were predicting then,

that it would be the end of the world...i remember the night they were saying would be the last night and the fear i and all of us neighborhood kids had and our surprise at waking up the next morning and seeing that we were all still there. i remember the teaching my mother taught me: NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THE END OF THE WORLD IS. and i remember the priest at the HOLY CROSS CHAPEL a few years back talking about, 'THE CHRISTIAN RIGHT WHICH GETS IT WRONG ALL OF THE TIME' saying, AGAIN, that, NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THE END OF THE WORLD IS. so ... now, i've survived times 2. 1954 and whenever this last ending was supposed to have been.

They speak of 'discernment' as being necessary as a spiritual 'tool' to avoid being taken in by falsehood and deception. Doesn't look like it's being used much.
