Friends and enemies.....

Once upon a time there was a baby bird happily hanging out in the nest waiting for his parents to return with food. Along comes a teenage bird acting all hip and cool and says to the baby bird, "come on, let's party, we can fly over to the neighbor's nest and have a great time." The baby bird replies, "I can't fly, yet." To which the teenage birds says, "of course you can if you try.....you're a big bird now. You're smart and handsome and strong. We'll have a lot of fun."

The baby bird, feeling a bit embarrassed, decides that the teenage bird is right and hops up on the ledge of the nest, spreads his wings, launches and PLOP lands in the late spring snow below. The teenage bird, now feeling scared and worried about being blamed by the parents, takes off leaving the baby bird alone and cold.

Baby bird quickly succumbs to hypothermia and is in big trouble....he was already hungry and is now freezing. He can't fly and has no idea what to do. It's not looking good for baby bird.

About that time, along comes a cow. The cow, doing what cows do, plops a big pile right on top of baby bird. Baby bird starts struggling and screeching and then realizes " hey, I'm nice and warm."

Baby bird being thawed out and revived is feeling pretty good and decides to let the world know. Baby bird starts singing the happiest song he's ever sung.




Mr. Fox is strolling through the neighborhood and hears baby bird's happy song. Baby bird makes a GREAT lunch for Mr. Fox.








The moral of the story?

Not everyone who compliments you is your friend.

Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.

AND....when you're warm and happy JUST KEEP YOUR BIG MOUTH SHUT.
