The Chairman of the Salt Lake County Republican Party is claiming that Rocky said something racist toward him.
In Rocky's speech he said
"SO TO JAMES EVANS AND THESE FOLKS WHO FINANCED THIS MASSIVE RADIO CAMPAIGN THESE LAST FEW DAYS, LET THEM UNDERSTAND THAT BLIND FAITH IN BAD LEADERS IS NOT PATRIOTISM. "

but this is the part of the speech he said is a racist comment toward him.

"TO SHOW SLAVISH, BLIND OBEDIENCE AND DEFERENCE TO A DISHONEST, WAR MONGERING, HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATING PRESIDENT."

Because Evans is a black man, He's twisting this into a racial slur toward him.

Another low for the republican party.

...that Repugs don't hear how petty and stupid they sound most of the time. Getting upset about the word 'slavish' is strictly ignorant.

His speechwriter used a poor choice of "word." I mean, how many words could he have used instead of "slavish." It might not have been intentional, but it was kind of dumb, especially given it involving a black man.

Anyways, stupid is as stupid does.

fanfuckingtastic. Mormons didn't allow black people in their churches for the longest time. Utah has a large Mormon population. Yeah there may be a shit storm coming.

6. Mormons are racist, for the most part.

People of color were not allowed to hold the priesthood until the late 60's. Their "president" had a revelation that the curse of sin had been removed from the "colored" people. Of course, the feds were looking at revoking their tax exempt status based on discrimination practices toward the colored people.

The Mormons better not push the racist issue too much.
