He made a point of saying that he was going to talk about things that might not have seemed important at the time...but now are of utmost importance. Also making the point that things that have seemed important at the time, turned out not to be so important. Overall, I got the feeling that he seemed to have a free rein and planned on using it. I certainly hope so.
