Having worked in master control for a major TV broadcast outfit. All that crap is so closely monitored, that I find it completely impossible that it slipped by.

One of my jobs was QC. I had to monitor the out going signal of any show or live broadcast. They new damn straight what was happening.

One of a number of things occurred.

1) This was a whole set up to distract people for some screwy reason.

2) they knew that morons* speech was going to tank so they set this up

3) Kyra needed face time because maybe her ratings weren't where they needed to be

4) Krya pissed off some people and they wanted to get back at her (my vote)

5) The Karr story tanked and they needed a bit of controversy to act as a filler to the next big story (my second vote)

this is all bullshit and why in gods name are we spending any time on it at all?

Now she goes onto letterman to act all humble and able to poke fun at herself. (refer to #3)
