Wow is Lawrence O'Donnell terrible...
Two days as guest host on Franken and he makes Franken look like a Liberal God in comparison. He's currently letting Tony Blankley walk all over him and get away with BS without an ounce of challenge. He's allowing callers and then applauding them if they give Tony softballs and cutting them off if they have anything negative to say to him.

1. Wasn't O'Donnell...
...the one who assured everyone that Rove would be indicted?

So much for the "street cred..."

4. I turned it off while O'Donnell was describing what a gentleman Blankley
is in the Crossfire green room, and how well the panel members treat one another before they get in front of the camera and start screaming.

Why in hell should I care? It's the LIES than Blankley happily disseminates, not how well he treats his privileged peers, that are the mark of his character. Blankley is a GOP thug, and O'Donnell is easily duped. (I am a Franken fan but I think the same of Al when he pals up to G. Gordon Liddy, an even bigger thug than Blankley.)

5. Thank god I missed that.
I heard the beginning of the interview with Peter Galbraith. He seems only to be trying to fill airtime (and not very well).

6. Awful
I thought yesterday he might be nervous, but still couldn't stand it and turned it off. Tried again today, didn't last but 10 minutes.

7. First DU'ers bitched cause AAR didn't have a guest host when Franken's off
Now you're bitching because you don't like the TEMPORARY host.

:puke:

9. I don't tune in AAR for Tony Blankley or Pat Buchanan
I also turn off Al when he has on John McCain or G. Gordon Liddy. It's not so much that they are GOP scum as that the hosts consider them friends, and treat them with a graciousness never accorded liberals on rightwing radio. That may make Franken and O'Donnell better people than me, but I'm fine with that.

Christy Harvey and Tom Oliphant were excellent Mon/Tue/Wed. Fast-paced, informative, and covered a wide range of topics.

12. One correction...
John McCain has never been on Franken's show. He's never been on AAR at all.

14. I had to look it up
- not for the sake of argument, but to reassure myself that my senility is not worsening. ;) According to the show blog, McCain was a guest on April 16, 2004.

16. I stand corrected. I listen to AAR just about every day, and it completely
escaped me. I think my senility is worsening though.

11. Sorry Cryingshame...did you listen to the show???
If you had, you could have puked even more, by listening to Tony Blankley spout off the same disingenuous lies, and avoiding real questions without any challenge.
I do think Air America is dead. I heard they might replace Mike with Laura Flanders. I used to like Laura Flanders, I thought she was informative, and interesting. However, lately, with "Radio Nation" she has taken a turn for the mild and the fluffy.

It seems that in the SF Bay Area, KGO is now more progressive than AAR. Bernie Ward, Ray Taliaferro, and I guess Karel, even though he is a little unsteady. That's 3 hosts. AAR: Randi Rhodes and Sam Seder: that's 2 hosts :)
Besides, KGO always comes on more clearly.
