If Comedian Rush Limbaugh Falls In the Forest…

The Republigoat hacks’ response to the news of the termination of Mad Mike Malloy have been predictible. Weird, but predictible. Cliff Kincaid of “Accuracy” “In” “Media” pins the firing on an hour.5 interview Malloy conducted with a LaRouche sipotter. The interview, AIM speculates, pissed off George Soros, which led to Malloy’s “yoink.”

Kincaid’s column is vastly speculative, and the headline offered is telling. It doesn’t seem to actually sum up the column’s contents very well. It just says, “Air America Network in Turmoil.” And the column’s lede just sort of tosses off AAR’s pending failure as an aside. “The network is failing but there could be another factor behind the Malloy debacle…”

Here’s the news for Kincaid: Termination of talent isn’t “turmoil” for radio. It’s business as usual. Ask anyone in radio to tell you the story of the time he got fired, and he’ll probably ask you, which time?

The Republigoat hacks just can’t stand that it exists. So long as Air America Radio is broadcasting from somewhere, there’ll be some right-wanger somewhere pointing at it and going, “See? It’s failing! It’s failing! See? I told you it would fail! Ha-ha!”

1. I heard the show with the Libertarian.

It was horrible. But I dislike Malloy, anyway. Laura Flanders will be much better.

Still, I don't like the way AAR has handled it.
