3. I didn't see your post--just went to see what was
happening on CNN. I can't believe there is not more on this, as this may prove to be the biggest story of the weekend. There are many, many outraged Lopez Obrador supporters.

2. Why the fuck couldn't OUR PARTY have shown such balls in 2000 or 2004?
Fuck it, bring on the Mexican immigrants-- legal AND illegal. They fucking know how to contest a fraudulent election!

22. Yes there were some brave ones.
I think with more support, it could have happened.

It will happen, you know. The GOP will do it when they lose past any ability to cover with fraud. Every argument you see here they will use against democratic targets.

19. the candidate (Obrador) has pledged to create a parallel government
I tried to search for the article someone posted yesterday about the formation of a parallel government, but have lost my star and can't search and can't replace my star until my house sells. :(

Mexico Protesters Vow to Stop Fox Address
By JULIE WATSON, Associated Press Writer
Friday, September 1, 2006

(09-01) 01:35 PDT MEXICO CITY, Mexico (AP) --

Earlier this week, a court-ordered partial recount reduced Calderon's advantage to 240,000. The Federal Electoral Tribunal has until Wednesday to declare a president-elect or annul the election.

But Lopez Obrador and his supporters have already said they won't recognize its decision,
and the candidate has pledged to create a parallel government that will rule from the streets.

"The people are the government!" he told cheering supporters on Thursday

27. Here it comes folks...get out the popcorn, things are going to get quite
crazy and exciting in Mexico soon...parallel government...

Hey! Don't we have that already? The official Bush Regime and then the Shadow Gov't headed by Cheney and Gawd knows who else in hidden bunkers pulling the strings? :eyes:

In any event, how much do you all want to bet that we will be seeing edited and censored versions of the stories coming out of Mexico when things start to get going? How many other news distractions will be coming our way like 24x7 coverage of the 5th anniversary of 9/11 and FEAR, FEAR , FEAR1
