This was probably talked about here already, but after looking down the first page I was too lazy to look any further..lol.
I just finally got to watch Rocky Anderson's speech. I got the vibe he was thinking of maybe running. What ya think? I know he said he won't seek another term as mayor, but that speech really sounded like he was ready to throw his hat into the ring.

2. Salt Lake City, Utah. He helped organize a protest |
|
against Bush there a day or so ago. I saw him on Olbermann and liked what I saw.

5. Only person I've ever met from there was at their airport |
|
He looked at my shirt and said "Brooklyn? Isn't that a really big ghetto." I just said, "No it's not, can I just have my food."

You don't go from mayor of Salt Lake City to President, which is I assume what you are inquiring about. The idea is absurd.

4. That's what I was thinking |
|
But that speech sounded like he was preparing for something.
And BTW, they are talking about Giuliani running in 2008. Wasn't his last office he held being a mayor? I guess it isn't as absurd as you think. :)

Giuliani is rather a special case though. Mayor of New York is a good bit more high profile than Salt Lake, but even then without the 9/11 exposure Giuliani would be a ridiculous outsider if he ran. Frankly I don't think he has much of a chance anyway but that's another matter.
Maybe you're right. Maybe he is thinking of taking a swing at it. All it really takes is his willingness to do it; it doesn't have to be a GOOD idea.

8. Well, I'm not saying it is a good idea |
|
But after watching his speech, you wonder why he made it the way he did. It seemed more like a campaign speech than a rally speech. That's really what I was wondering. If people here thought he might be thinking about it.
