26. "Fabulous" has positive connotations that are difficult to disregard.
I don't really blame the poster for questioning it.

...and I thought I'd seen them all.

Goodness knows I was busily collecting them in the aftermath of the event.

7. These pictures are the stark reality ....
It should have never happened ...

The response of the nutcases in power before and after the fact has been absolutely abysmal ....

And still, the freakish theocratic mass murderers who did this roam free .... while friends of George stuff their pockets with OUR childrens former futures ..... and spill innocent blood in the process of self enrichment ....

Pitiful humanity .....

19. This is exactly what they didn't want us to see
I hope someone that is suing them for their illnesses related to the clean up can use these to their advantage.

I can't get over how all the other buildings continued to stand, damaged, but standing all the same.

27. Is that why "they" published them years ago?
Edited on Sat Sep-02-06 11:58 PM by mp3hound
I agree with you about the illnesses that no doubt stemmed from the toxic mess that rescuers were breathing in and I hope that those affected will be successful in court, but these photos have been around - and published - for years.

I think it's better to make accusations only when there is some basis in fact for them. Pretending that they were hiding these photos or hiding what these photos show, after they've been floating around the internet for years does more harm than good to the cause, in my view, because it's so easily disproven.

It is far better for the case of those afflicted by the toxic crap they were breathing to stick to the evidence that supports their case and not to be distracted by conspiracy theories, which will only hurt their cases. They deserve every penny that they get from their lawsuits but they will win only on the basis of facts and evidence, not conspiracy theories. Nobody does them any favors by introducing conspiracy theories into their cases. The facts support their cases. Conspiracy theories will only undermine them.

Just saying.

28. I was speaking to the fact that there are not a great deal of these
floating around, as in, there weren't any large group of photographers given access to document for the public just what was there.

I have never seen these pictures before. Perhaps, they have been around for a long time, but obviously, many of us have never seen them before.

All debris was removed and sent to the winds. No examination done that I have heard about, just disposed of before questions could be asked and answered.

These are not the pictures they want us to see. They want us to see the bullhorn moment and the flag raising moment, not the actual scene itself.

24. I can't believe it's been five years. I was here. I'm still here.
And literally millions of others would say the same. We were here. It was like the end of the world. I'm about a mile north of the WTC. I pass that spot on my run. It's like my backyard. Those were the most surreal days of my life.
