The New Al Quaeda tape just isn't near as good as their last one

As a so-called left wing terrorist enabler who has followed this group's career from the beginning, I was very disappointed in the video from their latest effort. Personally, I think the guys have sold out and they've let success go to their heads. Remember the perfectly timed video in 2004 that the GOP was able to frame as "a vote for a dem is a vote for them"? Now THAT was a classic and a hit right out of the box.

Whoever shot this is a hack who uses the same old stop motion camera tricks that were in vogue 8 years ago. And who the hell is their new guitar player? I heard the last one left over artistic differences (code word for "habit"). This guy sucks! It's all bad hair metal histrionics.

And the lyrics, this conversion thing? SO Y2K since Madonna went Kaballa. If this is any indication of the rest of the record, Timbaland or Pharrell might have to come in and energize this turkey.

I can definitely say that I am so not going to see this tour. I mean, just like our president, it seems 9/11 was their finest hour. :sarcasm:

On a serious note, thanks George for finishing the job. There they are, still making videos. When you make your next to do list could you please add "Oh yeah, find Osama."?

:hi:

1. 5 stars -- I found this review very helpful
I won't be buying this one. Sounds bargain basement. Mind you, that other group, Bush&Co, have been in the cheap DVD bin for a time too...I think the sound these guys make is passé.

4. You've got to
give them credit for increasing their video production rate, they're really cranking them out these days.

"safe" studio somewhere on the Indian (Bollywood) border w/Pakistan? Afganistan? Virginia?

5. I think Gadahn just needs better commercials.
Maybe for skateboards or Ammonium AD. Kids and seniors may tune in!

8. As a fan of the 50s "Red Scare" genre, I can tell you...
that they'll prop the guys up as long as they can.

Remember that group "USSR"? Reagan spends us massively into debt and helps to insure our industries remain uncompetitive, then *poof* "USSR" collapses in bankruptcy.

It was going to be massively embarrassing until Reagan's agent hit upon the "they collapsed BECAUSE we spent ourselves poor" line. It's lines like that that show why good agents get their 10% cut.
