I can't make out what he mumbles about after making the distinction between the two debates, something about keys?

4. Oh man, I want that avatar
I just bought a V mask. I intend to take it to the Tapistry and Talent fair in San Jose this Monday and plant myself in front of thr Republicant voter registration booth with a big, cardboard "V" and a pocket full of my latest bumper stickers. They feature a picture of little lord pissypants on the left, with text to the right saying " If only his father had pulled out sooner."

I will have the stickers available, at cost, as soon as I get the time. BTW, a fellow DUer printed them for me, also at cost.

Will post pics asap.

6. Bush is referring...
...to the 2000 Republican primary debate when McCain went after Alan Keyes for basically calling him a liberal.

16. He may have been talking about extreme
right-winger Alan Keyes.

I wish someone would catch Bush making a disparaging remark about fundamentalist christians. You know he holds them in utter disdain and is only using them, as the pugs have for decades. They have power but little of the fundie social agenda has been made into law (thankfully).

My guess is that political party bases just like to be used...look at how the Dems have taken all working people for granted for decades, supporting "free" trade that hurts the prospects of working class Americans, yet many still say "this is the MOST important election EVER" and support corporatist Dems.

31. That's the truth
"Any Dem is better than a Repug" is exactly like believing it's okay to "give up a little freedom in return for security". The lesser of two evils mentality has played a big part in getting the country into the mess it's in now. It's way past time to jettison it.

33. Until we gain back control of the House and Senate,
'any Dem is better than a Repug' is necessary. If Repukes hold onto Congress this fall, God only knows what Cheney will try.

35. So, if Joe LIEberman had remained a Dem
he would be better than even a liberal Republican (if such a creature exists)?

I disagree. The Dems know that people will vote ABB or Any Dem so there is little incentive for them to run to the left. Instead they water down the message to appeal to "security moms," "soccer moms" or "office park dads." All the while ignoring the pressing needs of working people who are suffering under stagnant wages but increasing prices of goods and services.

36. Yes.
Think Speaker of the House, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Majority Whip. Until we get control back, we can't accomplish anything. Nothing is going to happen to the 'pressing needs of working people who are suffering under stagnant wages' until we get the repukes out of power.

There's no point in being a "pure" Democrat if you don't have any power. As someone said on another post, Divided We Lose.

At least Pickles didn't seem quite so strung out on Zanax during that clip although she did seem to be having a flashback to a night of alcohol induced bliss.

I really, really want my country back from these people.

That person leaning in front of the camera to do something or give something to Pickles - did she give her a line of coke?

Larry: What a night that was.

George: That was fun!

Laura: That was the wild night when everybody was drinking?

George: No, no, no, no, this was the one when, this was the primary,

George: Keyes. That was one of the two South Carolina debates, this was the big debate. He won the drinking debate, this was a live debate.

George: Oh ya, no this was awesome. When we were off camera, we would talk about it, remember, McCain got after Keyes.
