Does Bush Administration Understand "Sacrifice" In Iraq, Afghanistan
Take a look at two recent quotes and ask yourself if the Bush Administration really understands things on a personal level.

1. Of course not.
The Bush(league) Administration's idea of sacrifice is not being able to get a table at their favorite DC restaurant, or having to wait five minutes longer than usual for their limo.

To these people, 'tax' is the ultimate sacrifice, because money is the only thing that matters to them.

7. can't disagree
most of the neocons found a way out of Vietnam, so it makes sense that they'd find a way for their family members to miss this war.

4. To Bush and his henchmen, sacrifice is something other people
do so they can get on with life as usual without bothering their "beautiful minds". These are like remarks his mother usually makes. It isn't surprising that he feels this way, too.

5. They refused to use the word "Sacrifice" last November - Veterans Day
or Memorial Day or whatever. Personally, I think many in the WH are covetous of those who actually have served their country and the word "sacrifice" is an enemy to them.

6. His statements are very revealing
Americans...I mean we. We pay taxes? The war isn't being paid for. The rich aren't paying more taxes, they are paying less taxes. The corporate tax burden as a percentage of government revenue has been falling for years and shifted to the middle class. The failure of the corporate rich to carry their burden, has resulted in the greatest debt balloon in world history.

Bush is really unable to think in any other terms than class warfare. The war was undertaken to restore the wealth and power of the old defense industrial establishment at the expense of the masses. By financing the war with debt instruments, the ruling class creates capital to be deposited into the pockets of the have mores today.

One of the defense establishment propagandists on MSNBC this morning said (on Tucker)it doesn't matter if we are in Iraq for 60 more days or 60 months, we need to "go to the heart of radical Islam." This is depraved indifference to the losses there and the complete failure of these policies.

8. on JABBS
one of the conservative posters thought I was being horribly unfair, because "of course" bush understands the sacrifice being made by the troops.

But, others retorted, why didn't Bush say so?
