This is a bigger battle for America than WWII or the Cold War. That is what Bush and the Repubs want America to believe. The enemy has no army, they have no navy, they have no nuclear weapons. They have box cutters and the ability to blow up car bombs and to chop off the heads of Americans on their country's soil. So that makes it a clash of civilizations?

Rick Santorum tried to make the same point on MTP this morning. How many people truly believe this?
They don't seem to realize that there is a price to pay for imperialism and stealing the resources of another country? That there is not a God-given right for Americans to be on the soil of any other country in the world? We have no right to be in Kuwait, or Iraq, or Saudi Arabia if they do not wish us to be there. So, why do we think we have the right to be anywhere we want in the world and to do whatever we want any place in the world? Isn't that an arrogant and even, sick, rationalization?

do not forget that others think it is fine to take over another country just as the terrorist think it is fine to blow us up because we do not do as they like. To bad we could not put those same types together some place and leave us in peace. I can not figure out either one if you must know.

6. This country was founded on the idea that you can take what you

want when ever you want it. Every state took from the people that were there and either put them on reservations or killed them. You want us to change directions now? Just when peak oil is coming??
