I choose to share my sense of peace with you
Edited on Sun Sep-03-06 06:38 PM by MoseyWalker
By that, I mean that I give you the opportunity to hear and respond to the idea.

There are times to be angry, but they are not meant to last.

There are times to fight, but they are not meant to last.

When someone tells you there is a neverending war against an imaginary enemy, the best thing you can do is tell them they need to do a reality check.

Share your sense of peace with me.

edit: or just say peace, and it will be shared

1. I can't think of anything
nicer or anything I would rather do than share peace. Peace to you from me.

Go outside, that is where I find my peace. In the country with my animals and mother earth I find my sustenance. Here, have some........it is yours. :hi:

3. I will share ...
The next time you fall into thinking that the country is full of selfish, greedy, out-for-themselves individuals, remind yourself that on 9/11 and during the Katrina catastrophe, not a single person who pitched in to help inquired of the ethnicity, religious beliefs, or poltical leanings of anyone in need before doing the right thing for their fellow Americans.

Always remember that while good and decent people may not presently make up the majority of our government, they DO represent the majority of the American people.

7. Peace
For me is lived in moments. If I remember that, I have a lot of peace. And what precipitates it can change, it only depends on my outlook. My grandsons, patients I care for, my silly dog who keeps a ball in his mouth at all times because he loves to chase it. Music, art, the faces of strangers, the culture and color of the human condition, growing older (yes, growing older brings me peace!) So many things, so many small, special things that offset the larger problems, the chronic problems, all those things that lie to me and tell me I can't live a life well lived.

So thank you. I wasn't feeling particularly peaceful when I opened this thread, it's a nice reminder of the way I want to be.

9. Thank all of you!
Your peace is the nicest thing anybody has offered me in quite a while and something I desperately need. This is the nicest thread I have seen in quite some time. I am afraid I have little peace of my own at the present to share but I it to you.

10. Ah! peace for me
is that place where I find love for people I do not understand and for cultures that sometimes confuse me - it is that ability in each of us as humans that will reign. And it is returned when the offer of peace and love is given to me by people that do not understand me and who find me confusing.

The world is so ready for peace and yet the governments of many nations, including my own, try and too often succeed in keeping peace just out of reach. Peace takes so much work, it isn't free, but it is available and the peace within me knows that peaceful people will prevail.

Good post!
