Couric is fine for a non-serious morning gab show where vapid topics are discussed, but not for meat and potatoes evening news.

In fact the Right really hates her. She lacks gravitas and seriousness.

7. i would have loved to see someone like Christianne Amanpour

get the job on evening news. Katie Couric doesn't really interest me. but i guess i might watch just to see how she will do. but i have to admit that it was a smart move on CBS's part to get her for the job rather than the expected male .

it will be up to her to see if she can keep the audience. i expect huge ratings at the start.
