1. A complete ass, but that wasn't a choice so I had to take the
fundy republican selection. Lee Terry Jr.

Anybody else wonder why his little beauty queen wifey isn't in the public's face like she was for so long? Hmmmmmmmm.

24. Hey, acmavm
Yep, Lee Terry is not my facorite guy either. LLike you say, it's hard to convince people of that. I've got relativess that vote pretty much the fundy ticket though and they all like him, too. Won't hear a bad word against him. Drves me nuts sometimes. At least we've got someone running against him that's getting some name recognition.

Don K.

8. Fundy Republican, here.
Are there any other kind in Oklahoma? Tom Cole, retarded and obedient, ran unopposed for his first term in '04. Unopposed! The Democratic Party here is a pathetic remnant of it's former self.

They are showing some signs of life this year, so perhaps there's hope.

18. Fundy Republican
My representative is John Carter of the Texas 31st District; one of the winners of Tom DeLay's illegal redistricting. He is a flunky but it will be especially hard to dump him since he delivers to his followers but not his constituents.

But we're going to change that on Nov. 7 with Dan Seals!

This is a divided district, part urban part rural, part of the urban is suburbia reptile, between them and the lemming farmers we're stuck with a incurious do nothing ass kissing brain dead major league fuck up.
Know why? chucklenutz* promised them 300.00 dollars and they squashed gay marriage in 04, the diety help us if this fool retains the 6th district this year.
If I could I move the fuck out of here yesterday.

23. Conservative GOP is about all we'll ever get in my E Tenn district.
But I'll be honest, John Duncan does earn my respect for standing up a voting his conscience, even when it means going against the rubber-stamp brigade. Granted, his conscience is usually perfectly in step with the right-wingers running the show, but he has going against the tide on more than one occasion, not the least of which was a vote against the Iraq war (something those I supported for Pres and Vice-Pres in '04 can't say!)

He gets my respect... he'll never get my vote, but he gets my respect.

While he certainly exploits fundies, throwing out little tidbits of bigotry, he's not one. There's nothing "conservative" about fascists - 'exploitation' and pillage do NOT equal "conservative."

38. Progressive enough to get my vote. Generally thought of as "liberal".
Brian Baird SW Washington. He plays politics but usually comes down on the left side of important issues like Iraq, Abortion, the environment, etc.

He's in the "not nearly as bad" catagory, as opposed to the "not quite as bad" DLC types like one of my senators who won't get my vote.

39. Joel Hefley
soon to be replaced by progressive Dem Jay Fawcett or Lamborn who never saw a regressive, fundmentalist issue he couldn't wave a banner for, or a fundamentalist or Focus on the Family person he couldn't suck up to. "Lamborn has godlike qualities" and "Have no candidate before thy Lamborn" are two of my favorite phrases that just about sum his hypocritcal, shallow, unethical little personhood. The dishonest, lying twit.

At least Hefley stood up to DeLay, sort of.
