JERRY LEWIS has taken a swipe at MEL GIBSON over the anti-Semitic comments he made when he was arrested for alleged drink-driving in July (06).
Gibson was forced to publicly apologise after it emerged he had told officers: "The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." And Lewis insists he has thought of the perfect retribution for the star.
He quips, "I'm doing a film with Mel Gibson.
"I'm going to direct it, and I'm calling it SKINHEADS and we're going to open in Haifa and then go on to Berlin and Jerusalem and Tel Aviv." "It should be wonderful. It's an exciting idea."

3. I remember a "behind-the-scenes" article on that one...

...Lewis was in the editing room, looking at concentration camp footage, and he went ballistic over a little 5 year old girl who repeatedly looked at the camera and smiled. Calling her a "little bitch," he removed all of her scenes from the film.

Now, I'd love a link to that story as much as the next person, but understand that it happened before we all had the "Internets." But anyone who's got a little backstory on Lewis and / or "The Day The Clown Cried" is probably familiar with it...it's a classic.
