Ha ha ha. Tom DeLay's book

Just found a publisher:

Former House majority leader and recently retired congressman Tom DeLay's NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER, about his career, how it furthered the conservative cause, and what he thinks the conservative cause ought to do next, written with Stephen Mansfield, to Bernadette Malone at Sentinel, for "not as much as I wanted," for publication in May 2007, by Esther Fedorkevich of Fedd & Company.

(This link may not work for all y'all, since it's a paid membership thing, but I copied all the info that was available)

In most book deals, the part I bolded above says for 'a good deal' or 'a nice deal' or 'a significant deal' or 'a major deal' (they all mean different amounts of $$ in the publishing world), but I've never seen a "Not as much as I wanted" deal before.

Sorry. A little author humor, I guess. :D

5. Oooh, "not as much as I wanted"
What kind of legal bills is DeLay trying to cover? I thought he converted his campaign war chest of several million dollars? He has to cover more?
