Bernie Ward is LIVE and the temperature is rising quickly
Edited on Tue Sep-05-06 12:15 AM by Bozita
It's now a rant. "The workers of America have been sold out."

He's gonna read Krugman's latest.

He's really pissed!

Go Bernie, go!

9. OK. Question. Can we have a left populist candidate for POTUS in '08?
I mean it. Can we ?
I know Dorgan's book is out there.
Even if it's just symbolic wouldn't it be great if there was someone to vote 'for' instead of merely against?
I'm thinking Gore/Edwards could represent a 'populist' stand.
Just sayin'...
Confused as usual...
I voted for one winner in all my life. Clinton in '92.
It's just sad...

11. He almost started this rant last Friday, then decided to wait
He's been building up a head of steam for this Hell and Brimstone sermon for the entire weekend. Brother Bernie is very good when he gets this focused.

14. Hey bro'. I remember that too. He started & then stopped...
...all too human.

Did you hear Bernie's show the other week when he got going on Bay Area media (mostly radio) people?
Gene Nelson, Don Sherwood et al?
I don't think he mentioned a single person I didn't remember.
I thought of you because I know you remember that stuff too.

I hope you're having a good night...

15. Ira Blue
I met him once in a marina I was working at in Sausalito (I think he had a boat berthed nearby and liked to watch people work on boats). I heard him talking with people along the dock and I recognized his unique voice from radio before I even saw him. He was cool and watched me work with keen eyes while he told neat stories. He told stories, asked questions about boats, and told more stories so he had an excuse to watch me work. We both learned something that day.

But Duane Garrett is the one I really miss. He wasn't old school (four years older then me), but I loved the way he thought and reasoned things. We may have been soul brothers in a past life because we connected that well. Sad he was forced over the cliff (well, bridge) for silly reasons when so many people would gladly have helped him if he only asked.

12. Bernie without a Malloy priming charge.
Watch out, it may shock the system. But you'll need Bernie for when Ray Taliaferro comes on the air at 1:00 AM PDT (and takes the KGO Mighty Wurlitzer through the night). ;-)

It fits nicely.

16. Thanks for turning me on to this guy
I live well within KGO's mighty signal, but I've never messed much with talk radio. This sounds like fun, though.

I've been hearing about Taliaferro for years. Guess I'll find out for myself in about an hour.

17. Ray Taliaferro's hours are tough at times, but...
you can catch his program during the day. KGO’s archives allow you to Listen to all of KGO’s broadcast for 24 hours after they originally played.
