FINAGLE a FREEP Today: Nancy Pelosi Is Our Next Speaker of the House!
Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), 8th District

I firmly believe it. It's not just that Nancy is a woman. It's that she's bright, well-spoken, gracious, and a seeker of truth and justice. I've been impressed by her every time I see her on TV.

I've heard some hilarous shock-rumors from the right, "If the Democrats win the elections in November, NANCY PELOSI will be the next speaker of the House!" Oh no! Run for the hills! It's so silly.

This Dem says, "Go Nancy, you deserve it."

Sorry Freeps. Nancy Pelosi WILL be the next Speaker of the House come November, like it or not.

1. Actually, I've been regularly underwhelmed by Pelosi . . .

And I'm a former resident of the Bay Area, so I've seen her around for years. She doesn't (IMO) speak very well, typically sounds like a weasly pol trying to avoid the truth, and appears largely unacquainted with the facts of many of the issues she holds forth on. I also think she's got a tin ear with regard to what matters to the larger electorate.

If we do take the House in November, I'd hope for a much, much stronger person for Speaker. Keep in mind, the Speaker is third in line for the Presidency.

2. The Spineless-Crat who took away McKinney's seniority in 2004?
She took away the seniority of Bush's biggest critic, someone who would've used it to dig at Rummy and Bush (much like she did when she had it).

That and many other idiotic moves have killed the Dems.

And the final straw? According to a recent news article, Pelosi has "called Conyers into her office" to dissuade him from investigating Bush should he become head of the Judiciary. Hopefully he has more integrity than she does.

3. That's the idea
Irriatate them with that thought, it's hilarious to see them go to pieces. November 7th is going to be fun to watch.

6. It's entirely possible that Nancy Pelosi could become the next president
That thought really gets some panties in a wad.
