1. Tasini will be a memory within a week.

I find the entire Tasini campaign funny. He has 0% chance of winning. He'll be lucky to get 20%. He can't even raise $200,000 in the state of NY. But he has a right to run, so why not.

2. He has somthing to say. He's running on principle.

It's not a joke. Clinton voted for the war, she continues to support the war, she's wrong on many other issues, and she needs to be held to account.

3. What isn't funny is

the difference on their stance on the issues. People are under the impression that Hillary is a liberal but she isn't. She is no Leiberman, she's a smart cookie and wouldn't make the mistakes that he made but no way do I agree with her stance on many issues particulary healthcare, the war and her corporate affiliations (where her money comes from). Take a look at Tasini's positions in comparison, it isn't funny any more:

I also found it quite telling that the NYTimes endorsement of her states that Tasini would have trouble getting along in a conservative Senate. Isn't that the idea, to not fall in line and make deals with the GOP that won't benefit us, the people?

Win or lose he has a message and I couldn't agree with him more.

6. Yeah, its funny that you need to have corporations in your pocket

to get elected. Or be wealthy. Vision, good ideas, and the intention of actually serving the people who elect you don't matter. I think that's a riot.

Listen to my round, resounding laughter as I chuckle over the fact that a good candidate can't run a real challenge against an incumbent who's taking money from Murdoch because he isn't a millionaire like Ned Lamont.

A good candidate can fund raise. Tasini couldn't do that, he admitted it himself that he is a terrible fundraiser.

You want to know what the big story on his blog was before NY1 handed him a gift a silver platter? The fact that he changed to less dorky glasses at the urging of his staff.

He's a good man but he was a terrible candidate.
