I don't usually watch Faux, but I must say I thoroughly enjoyed watching Clark tear this guy a new one.

1. Clark was good.
He said what needs to be said. The nice thing about him is he doesn't sound like a politician.

3. That Cavuto guy was pretty blatantly on the attack
I really never watch Faux. Their reporting style leaves much to be desired. Clark sounds like a general when he talks. Doesn't take any of their nonsense. Refreshing.

4. I am SO GLAD Fox viewers are exposed to the truth occasionally...
...albeit unwillingly. I never watch Fox except on my way to somewhere else, but my impression of their "newscasts" about the war is that they usually consist of a bunch of chickenhawks bloviating. Nice to see somebody who KNOWS what he's talking about explain what's really going on.

6. He should,... indeed.
---- Clark would have my vote,.... The guy is simply smarter than most politicians OR pundits or either persuasion, and expresses himself better, as well.

7. K & R
Cavuto is becoming experienced at getting smacked down by Clark.

Neil should hide his sense of inevitable defeat better.

13. I heard Clark excerpts on the radio....
He was extremely on the point. And, he is one who should know what he is talking about. Unlike Bush.

15. 9/11 happened on Bush's watch.
FOX viewers prefer to overlook that one. Good for Wes in bringing it up.

17. Aw, that was most excellent...
Edited on Tue Sep-05-06 09:31 PM by CarolNYC
Poor Cavuto pretty much just gave up there at the end, eh? What an idiot, trying to throw that shit at the General...

I thought he pretty much beat up on Cavuto in this appearance last week....
http://securingamerica.com/ccn/node/8217

But today's was even better....He opens with "The attack on 9/11 occurred on the President's watch" and gets better from there.

Go Wes!

19. He' Blasting more than his Iraq policy.
He's blasting the entirety of neo-con foreign policy from head to toe, in the larger scheme of things, Iraq included.

“The majority party in power fails to understand the basic concept of fighting terror: We can't dry up the wellspring of hatred which is driving terrorist recruiting by making more enemies than friends,” said General Clark, the former NATO Supreme Allied Commander. “Their arrogance and incompetence prevents the powers that be from authoring the change in direction we need. The Democratic party offers America the best chance to turn things around and set a new course towards strategic success in the war on terror.”

20. Just watched it. That was masterful
So many great lines by Clark, he repeatedly reminded viewers that The Bush Administration showed no interest in protecting America from known terrorist threats when they took office. Clark managed to bring up Bush's vacation in August immediately after being warned that plans were afoot for attacking America. OK, it's great that he stayed on message, but Clark to his credit probably planned those comments.

I really loved it when Cavuto sprung the Republican talking point about fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here on Clark, when Cavuto asked where would the thousands of Al Quada jihadists be fighting Americans if we weren't fighting them in Iraq. Cool as a cucumber Clark nailed him "They probably wouldn't be fighting Americans anywhere" and went on to explain that these mostly young men are being recruited because they now think they are defending Islam from an American attack. There is a lot more I am tempted to repeat but it is better to just watch the video yourself if your computer can handle it.
