Great moment (s) at the polls today in Florida!!!
Walked in, few were there, stood in line behind the two people in front of us, then I noticed another line EMPTY!!!

So I asked one of the workers if we can move to this other line since noone was there to check in, she asked what party we were in, I proudly answered DEMOCRATS!!!

She said the other EMPTY line was for Repukes!!! I smiled big and shouted: "we are all Democrats in 2006! and 2008! We are voting for change."

By the time we waited for the 2 people in front of us, our line had 13 people in it, one by one, walked in, were asked if they were with the good guys or the pukes, answered Dems!!!! Got in line behind us...:)

We were in for a total of 20 minutes or so, not one, not one pukeassdumbfuck walked in to vote in that line next to us.

It was beautiful...

Yes, they were, I looked them right in the eye when I said it.

I am thinking about dipping my index finger in blue ink on election day in November!!! Saying I am voting for my freedom from evil and I voted blue!

8. Quote of the Day

"She doesn't interview, she flirts. And it's offensive to professional women and it's embarrassing." -- Jim Dornan, former campaign manager for Katherine Harris, on the woman who will likely win the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in Florida today.

13. I thought that was great! I said pretty much the same thing, but not
nearly as well.

I tried to explain to my GOP aunt why she wouldn't want to vote for Katherine Harris. This is an 80 year old woman with a PhD who taught college and likes to vote for women. I told "she's not our kind of woman. She simpers, she flirts, she rubs herself all over men, she's extremely unprofessional." My aunt said "My goodness. I had no idea." Katherine Harris will probably win the primary anyway, but I just couldn't let my aunt think that she should vote for her because she's a "professional woman".

34. They didn't seem interested
on voting. They got quiet when I asked if they liked Harris and changed the subject. They had a "yuck" lookin their face when I ask if they were voting for her.

19. I voted today in Volusia county
I don't know about turn out, few were there when I was, BUT, I was offered a choice of touch screen voting or paper ballot. Without hesitation I said "paper ballot" I voted for Rod Smith also because I think he can beat the Repukelican nominee.

26. DId you have to vote in a church?
I did. Hate that. Three different precincts in that church. I had to walk up near the pulpit. As an atheist, that bothers me. But, since churches aren't taxed, I guess the least they can do is provide polling stations.

Sadly, no line where I voted, poll workers told me the turnout was very, very low. Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

29. It's odd Repubs & Dems are divided into seperate lines
It's really no one's business what political party you're in when you show up to vote. How odd that they divide you. Has it always been that way?

In Virginia, they don't even ask what party you're affiliated with when you register to vote. (Of course they can figure out what you are if you vote in a primary.)

33. only in the primary, because we have different ballots
in the general election, we aren't divided because everyone gets the same ballot.
