More and more Californians are feeling the health care pinch; it's almost getting to the point of pain the energy costs gave Californians that made them "revolt" against Davies two/three years ago. This bill is admittedly a stop-gap, but it's an important one if you're stuck having to pay for your family health insurance at market prices because your employer can't afford to provide it any more.

Pushing stem cell research, doing the environmentalist dance are nice, but when you should be facing bankruptcy from a medical emergancy but can't due to the Bush bankruptcy bill and are going to lose your house, those issues become small and insignificant to most working-class voters.

He might just hand Angelides the governership, if Phil can pick up the issue like any dropped weapon and use it on his fat, painted head...
