Nowrasteh: The 9/11 report details the Clinton's administration's response -- or lack of response -- to Al Qaeda and how this emboldened Bin Laden to keep attacking American interests. The worst example is the response to the October, 2000 attack on the U.S.S. COLE in Yemen where 17 American sailors were killed. There simply was no response. Nothing.

Of course the interviewer doesn't question this tripe. Think back to October 2000. Clinton was the lamest of lame ducks by that point. Bush had been elected, the neocons were in celebration mode and there was no way they'd let Clinton do anything about the Cole. He doesn't mention that Congress had no response either.

We've got to stop this "docudrama" now. Keep emailing and calling ABC and their sponsors!

oneil was puled off investigation by fbi dudes when bush got in and bush said they werent going to do anything, even though oneil had the info they needed because bush said, would be like swatting them with a flyswatter

so the comment by the person is false. as is about all these people say.

clinton did his job. when bush got elected in nov clinton held off so bush could do it his way. but the info was htere for bush to make the decision. his decision was to do nothing about it.

my point remains and is the same as yours. What the hell could Clinton have done? He'd asked Congress to expand wiretapping and was shot down. The 'Cons were all about electing Bush and painting Clinton as the devil. He'd never have gotten anything through Congress.

Write your local affiliate. I did. Send it to the GM of the station and demand that they run disclaimers every 15 mins saying the program is a WORK OF FICTION. Give the local affiliates HELL!

Sam Seder on the Majority Report just had a segment about the puke-arama and the events after the USS Cole bombing--it's utter BS-Sam made the point about the timing of the Cole attack and that it was Tenant's call for response-you know, that Tenant who was also there before and during 9/11 attacks? I remember when Clinton attempted to pass a bill to track terrorist monies and the REPUBLICAN Congress voted against it. I mean, who might be funding these terrorists? Randi commented, what I have said all along, it seems that this administration has appeased OBL-getting rid of Saddam (believe it or not, no friend of OBL), shutting down our biggest AFB in Saudi Arabia (the base may have been the catalyst of OBL going rogue), a perpetual war in Iraq thus increasing terrorist recruitment. Remember who was with Poppy watching the towers burn? Remember who got to fly out of our country, while the rest of us were grounded? Then, there's Pakistan-a country who has nukes, unlike Iran. We forgave their debt to the US, we're giving them aid-yet, their Gen. Mamoudi (sp) wired money to Atta. You know, one of the alleged terrorists?
