How tough could this be? Selling podcast subscriptions is a lot easier than what they did in Phoenix, which is set up a radio station from scratch just to carry AAR. It would work great for a few weeks until XM or Sirius firms up terms with him for an uncensored national show, or he gets a drive-time time slot in Phoenix, Sacramento or San Francisco where he has huge numbers of fans.

I'd pay for that, my wife would, and I'll bet tens of thousands of others would!

air america again..i don't give a damn who they put on..they have lost me for good..

we just had a new house built..so i had the speakers put in all through the house..even on roof top deck..

and i had first sirrus component put in to hear mike..cost a bundle..then a month later air america jumped to xm..so then out went that big component..a double component so i could hear upstairs and down..( i have reversed living..on beach) and we had to buy the xm..so i could listen to mike ..now..dead silent..i refuse to put it back on until mike is on somewhere..

i am in total boycott mood!!

and when i get that way..i stay that way!!

for 4 years i have had fox ..all fox stations on child block ..so no one can come in my home and turn that shit on!!


in never watch anything fox..not that singing program thing..not 24 ..nothing..my friends tell me about 24..but i have total block on all fox..

Here's mine:

Having listened to AAR from the very beginning, I have noticed a systematic dismantling of what made the network interesting and fun and informative. First it was the elimination of Lizz Winstead and the breakup of Unfiltered. Then it was the addition of Jerry Springer to replace Rachel Maddow, giving her an hour (only) at an ungodly morning hour. Then it was the dumping of Marc Maron and destruction of the Morning Sedition, probably the funniest and most incisive show on the network, and the loss of someone who had been there from the beginning. Then it was letting Janeane Garofalo go from the Majority Report (or not doing enough to make her stay), and the uncertainty about the status of Sam Seder, a rising talent who has grown into one of the best hosts on AAR.

Which brings us to Mike Malloy. I was one of the original listeners clamoring and petitioning for AAR to pick up Mike Malloy, a host who has proven his worth wherever he's been, and who has shown he's not afraid to fight for liberal ideals. When the decision was made to drop Marc Maron, I commented to AAR management that he (Maron) was the heart of the network...and Malloy was the conscience.

With each of these decisions I have found myself listening to AAR less and less. And I am not alone. I do listen to Rachel; I skip Springer in favor of Stephanie Miller (and moving Sam Seder to the Springer slot is going to have serious problems in certain markets); Thom Hartmann is vastly superior to Al Franken; I try to catch Randi every day; though Sam is great it was Janeane that drew me to Majority Report; and Mike Malloy closed out my listening every day.

Firing Mike Malloy with no notice is troubling, and continues to show me that the management of AAR is not serious about liberal talk in America. Malloy is a valuable voice, one that we cannot afford to lose. Bring him back. Now.
