We were traveling the two weeks, and all the hotels had TVs in them. One of them had only CNN and Faux, plus women channels Oxygen?
It was in the evening. CNN had Larry King talking about the then suspected JonBennet murderer, Faux, too, was talking about the same issue.
As if nothing else was happening in the world. Never mind Darfur, what about Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon? What about the plot to blow up aircraft?
Even this morning I was watching CNN which, it appears changed its horses that follow the O'Briens.
The new guy Tony? talks too fast and is trying to elicit the same from his guests whom he is trying to interview. I think that I've seen him before on Wolf Blitzer and then he appeared knowledgeable and intelligent. I suppose one is expected to leave these traits behind when one gets own show. The only contribution from the woman partner is to promote CNN "all the news all the time" is getting as bad as that commercial about putting it on your forehead. And also promoting Anderson Cooper, Paula Zahn and the program about bin Laden.
Regardless of the topic, they just beat it to death. If one cannot get simple news from the 24 cable channel then what is their justification? To promote their star reporters? Do they really think that this is the reason for anyone to watch them? Quick, two minutes to Blitzer..
And then we wonder about how to generate informed citizens.
