Why should Clinton have been concerned about OBL BEFORE 911 if Bush isn't
Edited on Wed Sep-06-06 05:38 PM by gully
"that concerned about him" AFTER?!

I know that Clinton did what he could on capturing OBL and this latest ABC flick is bunk. BUT, this is a question that the RW-ers who blame Clinton for "not doing enough" should be asked, no?

http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/101504W.shtml

"Six months after he said Osama bin Laden must be caught dead or alive, this president was asked, 'Where's Osama bin Laden?' " Kerry said. "He said, 'I don't know. I don't really think about him very much. I'm not that concerned.' We need a president who stays deadly focused on the real war on terror."

~

And, again, I don't know where he is," Bush said during the 2002 news conference. "I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. I know he is on the run.
~ George W. Bush

Correction George, OBL WAS on the run when Bill Clinton was President, he is now sitting cozilly in the mountains of Pakistan being treated well by so called "uncooperative governments." And our pResident is ahhh "not concerned."

2. All you have to ask the Repugs
...is if they were so goddamned interested in fighting terrorism during Clinton's presidency, why didn't they approve of expanding wiretapping laws as laid out in his proposal to Congress in '96?

And in case they don't know the answer, tell them that at the time the Repubs were more concerned about our liberties and feared giving Clinton more aggressive wiretapping abilities would create a police state.

Oh, the irony!!

According to the standards they so vehemently push today, the Republicans FAILED THIS COUNTRY in the 90s.

They're hypocrites. As usual. And trying to blame Clinton for their abominable string of failures is a laugh.

4. He was concerned. Why bin Laden was # 1 on the CIA hit list. Leslie
Stalle did a story on it on 60 Minutes.
