My partner and I are planning a trip to Walt Disney World next month. We have been looking forward to it all year, and had been planning to join the Disney Vacation Club.

This afternoon, your ABC Television division posted a notice on its blog describing myself and other Democrats as "terrorist lovers."

Needless to say, I am very, very angry at this slap in the face to more than half of the American voting population.

If there is no public apology made to myself and other Democrats, I will be cancelling our upcoming vacation, as well as our plans to join the Vacation Club. There is no point in giving the Disney corporation any terrorist loving money.

We have our airfare (AirTran), hotel reservations, daily itineraries, 10 day passes, and priority seatings for every meal (the Significant Other is very obsessive about these things, which allows me to just relax, let him control everything, and enjoy my vacation). We depart October 19.

It all goes out the window if ABC doesn't apologize for what it allowed to be said about DU.

The fundies boycott Disney because of Disney's supposed support of homosexuals.

I was not going to boycott Disney, or change our plans, over the "Road to 9-11" documentary, although it is tempting. I'm complaining about it and seeking other remedies, however.

BUT, when they attacked me and everyone here at Democratic Underground as terrorist lovers, that was different. I'm not doing business with them because they slandered me.

It would be great if partisan hacks stopped demonizing the other side, but I don't see Limbaugh or Tucker or Hannity making any moves in that direction. It's one thing to tolerate that shit as freedom of speech, but this is moving way beyond that. This is literally Soviet style Pravda and it has to be stopped now. We cannot have another generation bamboozled like the Reagan babies were. We laughed at Limbaugh when we should have shut him down cold, I think we've learned that lesson.

I have read all three of Mr. Savage's recent books, Savage Nation, The Enemy Within, and now this one. These books enrage the self-styled "trendy" leftist mainstream, because they are based on fact. The so-called tolerant left have resorted to anti-Semitic remarks, for lack of any rational criticsm for Mr. Savage.
There was a time when I was younger, when I almost became a leftist. However, I am one of the few people who read and research both sides of an issue, where too many others simply rely on what they already think that they know. I attended meetings of leftist groups, I read their "literature", and all manner of publications. I was thoroughly indoctrinated by a typical public education before college, but in the course of researching the leftist ideology, I have found nothing but deception, distortion, distraction from the facts, and out-right emotionally hysterical hate-filled lies.
The bottom line is that the so-called "liberalism" of our time will not liberate you. The modern "liberalism" seeks to make you a serf to an all-encompassing socialist state. To attain that end, the first goal of the left is to destroy and disassemble our Western culture. Under the principle's of Western culture, we follow Voltaire's philosophy of "Although I hate what you say, I will fight to the death for your right to say it." Under a leftist "politically-correct" regime, you will find yourself in a concentration camp if you speak contrary to the leftist dogma. I am a military veteran of 15 years service, and a patriot.

So ABC is not being uneven in the comments they are allowing. And while I would not have used the language that one comment did, it was an informative comment. If a bunch of people from one particular site were ganging up to leave comments on my site I'd want to know about. You might not like it, but ABC owns that blog. It is their right to determine what is and isn't posted there.

And once again, the offending phrase was posted by a commenter and not ABC. It reflects the views of the commenter and not necessarily ABC.

18. We're members. Have been since 1993.

We have a trip planned for December. We're still going, but the $200 a day budgeted for eating in the parks and resorts has now been reduced to $20 for cold drinks.

We have a full kitchen and will use it. Stocking the fridge on the first night. Planning on investigating restaurants off property.
