(can you tell I'm a wee bit upset????)
Mr. Robert A. Iger President and CEO, Walt Disney Company
Dear Bob,
It's really over at ABC, isn't it? Truthfulness, fact-checking, pride in what one puts out over the airwaves, honest to gosh reporting - gone. I looked all over for it today, and all I could find was a hit and run third rate hack outfit that calls itself Neo-Con America, LLC - dba Disney.
"The Path To 9/11" you call it - was that what Mr. Limbaugh wanted it called, or does he only have dibs on the editing rights? I'm just curious as to how the whole thing got divvied up - did certain people get certain parts to play with, or did you all play a little seven-card stud, with the winner getting three (four, five, who knows - there's still time for re-writes!) free "Blame It On Clinton" cards to be used anywhere in the movie. I"m guessing it went down something like that, because no one with a shred of decency would ever put their names to drek such as this.
Have you listened to Mr. Berger recently, or Mr. Clarke? To refresh your memory, they were two people who were actually INVOLVED with the events leading to 9/11, and (surprise!) both have stated that your telling of events never happened. In other words, Mr. Iger, you lied. Made it up. Out of 100% US of A scare the people it was everyone's fault but Georgie's whole cloth. Must be nice to own a lie factory, eh Mr.Iger? I'll bet the bennies are killers.
There's a dirty little secret that you missed, though, and I'm going to give it you right now, free of charge. You see, Bob, most of America knows whose fault it was. Oh yes, it's true. They know this because, like myself and millions of others, we know know that there is more truth on Comedy Central than in all of ABC, and that that little "Google" button on a PC brings forth more truth in two minutes than ABC could find in twenty years, predicated on the almost laughable notion that ABC would actually look for it.
So don't count on me to watch your infomercial for Terra, Terra, Terra, Mr. Iger - I'll be much too busy adding my voice to those now more determined than ever to bring back journalism. We now know just where to look to find it - we just follow the stench of networks like yours, then move the dung away until we find it, suffocating under crap like "The Path To 9/11."
Aces over eights, Bob. You lose.
Sincerely,
Yet another ex-viewer
P.S. Can't wait for "The Path To Katrina" - I hear Cheney wants to blame it on John Kerry.
